PU timing belts (polyurethane synchronous belts) are high-efficiency power transmission components that combine the advantages of chain, gear, and belt drives. They utilize high-quality polyurethane (PU) as the base material, with high-strength steel wire or aramid cords embedded internally as the tensile layer. Through the precise meshing of belt teeth with pulley grooves, these belts achieve synchronous power transmission with constant speed ratios and zero slippage, making them indispensable precision components in modern automation equipment.

Core Features and Technical Advantages

Structure and Composite Materials – The base is composed of highly wear-resistant and elastic polyurethane. Internally, longitudinally arranged steel wire or aramid cords serve as the reinforcement layer, providing exceptional tensile strength and minimal elongation, thereby ensuring dimensional stability during long-term operation.

Transmission Precision and Synchronization – Power is transmitted via the mechanical meshing of belt teeth and pulley grooves, fundamentally eliminating the slippage and step loss associated with traditional flat belts. They offer high transmission efficiency and precise positioning, making them ideal for synchronous mechanisms requiring strict speed and positional accuracy.

Durability and Environmental Adaptability – Polyurethane offers excellent resistance to oil, hydrolysis, wear, and chemical corrosion. Unlike traditional rubber belts, they are resistant to aging and do not generate dust during operation, significantly reducing equipment maintenance costs and operating noise.

Manufacturing Flexibility – Belt surfaces can be specially processed to suit various applications. For instance, the back can be thickened or coated with rubber, foam, or grooves; the tooth side can be covered with green nylon fabric to reduce friction and noise; and various cleats or dividers can be thermally welded to the belt to meet diverse material positioning and conveying needs.
